Dr. Gideon Kofi AGBLEY is a Cambridge-trained International Development expert and a Developmental Sociologist at the SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, Wa.

He is also an agri-business consultant and has consulted widely for both local and international development Organisations. Gideon’s teaching over the past 10 years has spanned courses in Public and Social Policy, Development Theory and Community Development. His research works and publications include the gendered nature of career choices and social mobility, gendered impact of agrarian reforms and land grabs as well as human development and the capability approach.

Gideon’s current research interest encompass the Risk Society and Sustainable development as well as how nations grow and transform.
